DESCRIPTION:Composite Materials Merit Badge \n  \n  \n Scouts BSA (All Levels) \n  \n  \n Saturday, February 20, 2027 from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM \n  \n  \n Associated Badges: Supports the pursuit of the Scouting America Composite Materials Merit Badge. \n  \n  \n Composite materials are a key ingredient in making many of the things we use regularly stronger and more effective. We'll look at the properties of these materials, how to use them safely, careers in composites and materials science, and even make a couple of composite products to take home. We have a certified merit badge counselor on staff to sign off on blue cards. \n  \n  \n Scouts will complete Requirements 1(b), 2(b), 3(b), 4(a) or (b), 5, and 6(a). Scouts will also get time on the exhibit floor! \n  \n  \n This program is specifically for Scouts BSA (All Levels), and includes a pizza lunch, a fun patch, all materials, and exhibit floor general admission. Registration closes two (2) weeks prior to the program date. \n
